Julie Adams, Ph.D., CAE
Dr. Adams has over 25 years of experience in nonprofit management. Prior to launching Agile AMS, Julie provided, for more than 20 years, the organizational oversight of the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges, a 501c6 nonprofit trade association dedicated to fostering effective participation of faculty in California community college governance. Her experience spans all aspects of executive management including board and staff recruitment and development, human resources, financial management, legal and risk management, grant development and monitoring, and strategic planning. Dr. Adams supported the board of directors through keen administrative oversight including developing agendas, tracking and analyzing data, managing projects, and providing advice and consultation to the leadership team incorporating member and constituent feedback.
Dr. Adams received her Bachelor's Degree in Business from California State University - Sacramento, an MBA from the University of California – Davis, and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration, with a concentration in nonprofit management and leadership, from Walden University. She is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and CalSAE (California Chapter). She also has a Nonprofit Board Consulting Certificate from Board Source.
